What to do at launching a listing, to get your first bid

Modified on: Wed, 5 Aug, 2020 at 10:10 AM

Prior to launching the property on Openn.com.au, there are many things you can do to ensure you get your first bid as soon as possible.
  1. Do you have existing contacts in your Buyer database that would like to attend a ‘sneak preview’ inspection before the ad goes live? Immediately after your photographer attends the property can be a great time to show these buyers through the property.

  2. Be strategic and aggressive with your background search price and also the language used in the ad to make your ad irresistible. You can change both of these things later in the campaign at various points, ie, when you receive your first bid.

  3. Prepare a well rehearsed answer for those buyers that ask "What does the seller want?" or "Can you please give me a price guide?"
Focus on getting the buyer to inspect the property rather than articulating how amazing the property is at this stage.
  4. Develop a dynamic strategy/script that works for you, to convert people into bidders. Watch these two 1 min videos below for real agent dialogue inspiration.
